A girl suffered serious injuries when a dog bit her, police said, and a felony charge against her mother for leaving the child unsupervised has since been dropped. Court filings show the state dropped a child endangerment charge against Samantha Brown on Oct. 20. She had previously pleaded not guilty when the case was still active.
