CLEVELAND, Ohio-Patricio Lozano pleaded guilty in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas to charges including attempted felonious assault, aggravated vehicular assault, and driving under the influence for crashing his pick-up truck into a Cleveland apartment building, seriously injuring a seven-year-old boy.
The incident occurred in September 2023 in the city’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood, trapping the boy under the truck’s hot engine and causing third-degree burns to over a quarter of his body. Lozano fled the scene but was later arrested. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 24. As a result of the accident, the building was deemed unsafe, and the boy’s family, along with other residents, had to find new housing.
