LIMA, Ohio-Heir Force Community School students engaged in hands-on STEM learning by building electromagnets with assistance from volunteers from Procter & Gamble. Prior to the lab, students wrote essays to familiarize themselves with electromagnets. Executive director Dr. Willie Heggins emphasized the effectiveness of interactive learning, noting that it fosters collaboration and excitement among students. Heir Force plans another STEM activity at the end of October in partnership with Ohio Northern University’s engineering program.
