CCS Board of Education to Discuss Potential Closure, Merger Plans for Nine Schools

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Columbus City Schools Board of Education will meet Thursday night to discuss the potential closure or consolidation of nine schools identified by the Superintendent’s Community Task Force. The meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the South Administrative Building, 3700 S. High Street, and is open to the public. The purpose of the meeting is to review the school visits conducted by board members in October. The nine schools under consideration are: Broadleigh Elementary, Buckeye Middle, Eastmoor Middle, Fairwood Elementary, Lindbergh Elementary, McGuffey Facility, Moler Elementary, North Linden Elementary, and West Broad Elementary. District leaders met with the principals of these schools on October 9 to discuss the issue.
