Final Stop on the Pathway Express: Grange Insurance Audubon Center

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Students and families from Columbus City Schools were thrilled to meet R.L. Stine, author of the Goosebumps series, at the final stop of the 2023-2024 Pathway Express. Attendees had the opportunity to meet Stine and receive signed copies of his books, sparking excitement among both children and adults. The event, themed around urban agriculture, featured activities such as beekeeping, plant growing, and composting. Students engaged in hands-on learning by planting seeds and taking home plants to nurture.

Parent Maticia Flowers expressed appreciation for the educational opportunities provided by events like Pathway Express, highlighting the value of experiential learning outside the classroom. Extended Learning Supervisor Brianne Pannell emphasized the district’s commitment to offering students diverse learning experiences that foster creativity and personal growth. While the Pathway Express has concluded for the year, the learning continues through the Summer Experience program, which includes project-based learning opportunities such as the Urban Agriculture program.
