11-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Seriously Injured in Canton House Fire

CANTON, Ohio-Harmony Fowler, an 11-year-old girl critically injured in a house fire in Canton on July 12, tragically passed away on a Saturday. The fire, reported around 7:45 p.m. in the 900 block of 3rd Street NW, prompted firefighters to respond to flames visible from the second-story window. Despite efforts to rescue Harmony, firefighters faced intense heat and were initially unable to reach her. Eventually, she was located in a bathroom, rescued through a window, and transported to Aultman Hospital. She was later transferred to Akron Children’s Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
