COLUMBUS, Ohio-An 11-year-old boy in Ohio was seriously injured after taking his grandparents’ car for a joyride without permission around 10:30 p.m. on June 6. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol and Fox 8, he crashed the car while driving down a dark stretch of road near Sugarcreek, striking a ditch and a culvert.
The car flipped several times before coming to a rest. Officials did not determine the car’s speed, but believe the boy sustained serious injuries and was taken to a children’s hospital. Sugarcreek is approximately 100 miles northeast of Columbus.
