CLEVELAND, Ohio-Twelve children and four adults were hospitalized for smoke inhalation after an apartment fire in Cleveland on Saturday morning. The incident, occurring in the 4300 block of Kennard Avenue around 5 a.m., prompted EMS crews to transport all 16 occupants to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Despite two adults jumping from a third-story window, there were no injuries. The adults safely lowered the children down from the third story. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
