COLUMBUS, Ohio-A 29-year-old mother, Alexa Stakely, was fatally injured while trying to prevent the theft of her vehicle with her 6-year-old son inside, at an apartment complex in southeast Columbus on July 11. Three individuals, including a 19-year-old man and two 16-year-old boys, have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to her death. One of the teens confessed to stealing the vehicle and accidentally hitting Stakely as she tried to intervene. Stakely, a speech-language pathologist, tragically lost her life in the incident.
