MIDDLETOWN, Ohio-A 9-year-old student from Middletown City Schools is facing a felony charge of inducing panic after sending a threatening Snapchat message about a potential shooting at multiple schools, including Creekview Elementary and Middletown High School. The child admitted to creating a fake account and sending the threat to gauge reactions. He has been placed in juvenile detention and is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on September 20. The Middletown School District has stressed its zero-tolerance policy for threats and is urging parents to discuss responsible social media use with their children.
