Advocacy Group Challenges Ohio After Christian Schools Receive State Funding

COLUMBUS, Ohio-A national advocacy group, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, is investigating Ohio for allegedly using taxpayer dollars to fund renovations of private Christian schools, claiming it violates both the Ohio and U.S. Constitutions. The group argues that nearly $4 million allocated through the One-Time Strategic Community Investment Fund breaches the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment by directly supporting religious activities.
