AKRON, Ohio-After months of discussion, the school board approved Templeton Transportation LLC to supplement the current independent contractors who transport students with disabilities and those who are homeless. With 112 independent drivers currently on contract, the new arrangement prioritizes these drivers for all routes, using Templeton only as a backup. The board approved the contract with a 5-0 vote, with Vice President Carla Jackson and member Rene Molenaur absent.
