COLUMBUS, Ohio-Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Children and Youth have unveiled details of the $85 million Child Care Access Grant program, aimed at enhancing access to quality early care and education.
The program seeks to increase capacity, support building repairs, and offer additional training for staff and families to assist children with special needs. Various grant types are available, including start-up grants for new centers, expansion grants, repair grants, and grants to increase capacity for children with special needs. The application deadline is April 26, 2024, with award notifications expected in early May.
