Arlington Heights Student had Fentanyl in Blood After Visiting School Nurse, Family Says

ARLINGTON, Ohio-The parents of a student at Westgate Elementary School have sought legal advice after their child’s blood work revealed traces of fentanyl following a visit to the school nurse. Concerned for their child’s health and suspecting potential misuse, they’ve chosen to remain anonymous but are determined to understand the situation and hold accountable those responsible.

A nurse at the school has been placed on administrative leave amidst allegations of swapping students’ medication. Families of students receiving medication at school were asked to verify the contents in the nurse’s office. The investigation, involving law firm Romanucci and Blandin, is ongoing, with a civil investigation initiated. District officials are collaborating with law enforcement and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Parents with concerns are urged to contact the police and seek medical advice.
