Avon and Avon Lake high schools have traditionally fared well in the U.S. News and World Report rankings for best high schools. The results for 2025-2026 were recently released by the magazine. The magazine reviews more than 24,000 public high schools nationally. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.
