A Bellbrook High School senior says her summer experience learning to fly at the Air Force’s Flight Academy now has her planning in a career in aviation. Laney Bottemiller, who has been involved in Bellbrook’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, or JROTC, since she was a freshman, applied for and got into the prestigious Flight Academy through the Air Force, one of roughly 200 selected nationwide.
