Benjamin Logan Students Honored for Achievements at State Science Day

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-Benjamin Logan High School students participated in the State Science Day Celebration of Science Showcase at The Ohio State University. The event honored Ohio students in grades 5-12 who received a Superior rating on their State Science Day projects. Attendees presented their projects, competed for scholarships and prizes, and engaged with practitioners in their fields.

Two outstanding students, Winnie Bodin (Grade 10) and Dylan Vance (Grade 11), received notable awards. Bodin received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Environmental Protection Research, the Excellence Award for Civil Engineering Projects, 2nd Place in the OWEA Water Environment Science Award, the Stone Laboratory Scholarship, and the Ohio Northern University State Science Day Scholarship. Vance earned 1st Place in the American Water Works Association Award. These achievements highlight their dedication and excellence in scientific research.
