BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-Bowling Green State University (BGSU) has received a significant anonymous $5 million donation for its School of Art, marking one of the largest contributions to the arts in the university’s history. The funds will help establish the “RING” center, an extension of the School of Art aimed at enhancing learning experiences and career advancement opportunities for students. Initially funded in 2017 for photography and study abroad programs, the RING center has expanded its support to various disciplines within the School of Art, including studio and digital arts, graphic design, art education, and art history. The center has significantly impacted students, aligning with BGSU’s commitment to providing meaningful opportunities. BGSU President Rodney K. Rogers emphasized that the center will benefit not only undergraduate students but also others in the art program.
