BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-The Bellefontaine High School Quiz Bowl team participated in the NAQT Small School National Championships in Chicago over the weekend. They had a strong start on Saturday morning, winning four out of five matches against teams from various states.
In the afternoon session, they secured a playoff spot by winning three out of five matches, including a comeback victory against Danville. The team finished with a record of 7-5 and ranked 33rd out of 88 teams overall. Oliver Moreland emerged as the leading scorer for the team, supported by Jeff Smith, Elliett Lang, Nolan Core, and Emma Crabtree. The team is coached by Cliff Core.
