BHS Robotics Team Shines at World Championship

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio-Five students from Bellefontaine High School participated in the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas. Representing Team 9185A, known as FOAM, the students demonstrated determination and resilience throughout the competition. Despite encountering challenges, the team finished with a 5-5 record and secured the 31st position in their division.

The members of Team FOAM include junior Alex Cavanaugh and sophomores Ryann Gatchel, Lorenz Henry, Hayden Maus, and Mason Swisher. Their performance earned praise from both the audience and fellow competitors. The team expressed gratitude to the community and sponsors for their support. FOAM advanced to the World VEX competition after a successful showing at the Ohio State VEX event in Marion, where they received the DESIGN Award, the second-highest honor in the state. The BHS robotics team is coached by Micah Woolf and Dustin Van Buskirk.
