COLUMBUS, Ohio-As The Ohio State University campus prepares for move-in, the OSU Police Division is focusing on ensuring a safe environment for students. Lt. Joanna Shaul highlighted their commitment to traffic control and guiding new students and advised parents to maintain communication and remind their children of basic safety. The Joint Patrol Program with the Columbus Division of Police, which started in 2008, is also receiving upgrades with new cruisers and enhanced collaboration. This year, the program features four pairs of officers from both divisions working together. Additionally, OSUPD will soon have a new interim chief following Chief Kimberley Spears-McNatt’s departure to Clemson.
