CLEVELAND, Ohio-New Bridge Cleveland, a local nonprofit, has acquired the former Case Elementary School on Superior Avenue in Cleveland. Built in the 1970s, the 66,000-square-foot building will be renovated into a modern workforce training center. The center aims to offer state-of-the-art programs in healthcare, including training for roles like phlebotomists, sterile processing technicians, medical assistants, and licensed practical nurses. New Bridge Cleveland plans to make education accessible by providing onsite daycare services for students. The organization’s CEO, Bethany Friedlander, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to repurpose the building and expand their impact on the community, particularly in supporting the healthcare sector, which is a significant employer in Northeast Ohio. They have also invited architecture and engineering firms to bid for the redesign project.
