Centerburg Schools Asks Community Support for PI Levy

CENTERBURG, Ohio-Ryan Gallwitz, superintendent of Centerburg Local Schools, faced a hectic start when he assumed the role less than three weeks before the school year began. Despite the challenges, he has been working tirelessly to communicate the importance of the district’s 2.75-mill permanent improvement levy on the Nov. 7 ballot, aiming to alleviate pressure on the general fund and address deficit spending. Gallwitz has prioritized building an effective administrative team and ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines. Amidst the routine, unexpected events like a fire caused by broken solar panel wiring have required swift action.
