BATAVIA, Ohio-Jenna Caldwell, a Batavia Township woman, is facing charges of child endangering and domestic violence for allegedly abusing her 11-year-old disabled stepchild.
The abuse was reported anonymously in April, prompting a visit from Clermont County detectives and Children’s Protective Services (CPS). They found a bruise on the child’s arm, after which Caldwell voluntarily left the home. The child was subsequently placed in CPS custody. The child has impaired cognitive ability, mild intellectual disability, and other speech and language disorders, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.
