COLUMBUS, Ohio-Arturo Navarrete-Juarez, a 29-year-old man from Columbus, has pleaded guilty in federal court to sexually exploiting a young child. He admitted to sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 10 between October 2021 and December 2022, and recording the abuse. The recordings were reportedly posted anonymously online. Detectives identified Navarrete-Juarez through distinctive tattoos visible in the video and on his social media, which led them to his residence matching the video background. Initially charged in March 2023, Navarrete-Juarez faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in prison under federal law. He awaits sentencing.
