Columbus police call for changes to Ohio law to keep dangerous teens locked up

Columbus Police say it’s time to turn to lawmakers to help keep dangerous teens off the streets. That’s after a suspected 17-year-old gunman opened fire on four Columbus Police officers in January of this year after they say his girlfriend called 911.

The three-minute shootout with offices unfolded five months after the same teen was arrested out of an armed robbery in south Columbus in which shots were also fired.
