Company that Buses Columbus Students Accused of Employee Discrimination

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio Civil Rights Commission is investigating Universal Transportation Systems (UTS), which provides bus services for Columbus City Schools, following accusations of misconduct by an employee. Lou Bond, a bus driver employed by UTS since February 2023, has filed two discrimination claims, alleging that the site manager creates a hostile work environment through intimidation and harassment, which has contributed to driver shortages. UTS documents show the company launched its own investigation into the claims, and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission has been looking into the matter since November 6.
