CPS Seventh, Eighth Grade Students to Ride Metro this Year After Budget Cuts

CINCINNATI, Ohio-This year, over 9,000 students will use Metro buses for transportation to Cincinnati Public Schools, a rise of more than 1,000 from last year. The increase is due to the district’s budget cut of $9 million, which led to the elimination of yellow bus services for seventh and eighth graders. Consequently, 2,938 students in these grades will be using Metro buses, up from 1,145 last year.
