BECKETT RIDGE, Ohio-A 17-year-old girl was hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck outside Lakota West High School on Friday morning. The incident occurred around 6:48 a.m. when the 62-year-old driver, traveling at approximately 30 miles per hour, failed to yield while the student was in a marked crosswalk. She sustained serious injuries but is expected to recover. The driver remained at the scene, and it is unclear if he will face any charges related to the accident.
