Dohn Community High School Parts Ways with Management Company and Owner

CINCINNATI, Ohio-Dohn Community High School in Cincinnati has undergone an abrupt leadership change, with the Board of Directors announcing the immediate departure of the Cincinnati Charter School Collaborative and its owner, Ramone Davenport, who had led the school since 2009. The board cited the decision as being in the best interest of students, staff, and the school’s future. Davenport was recognized for his contributions to the school, which serves students seeking second chances. Bill Geraghty, the chief operations officer, will serve as interim superintendent. The leadership change comes amid financial concerns, including about $2 million in missing funds. Davenport had previously been nominated for a Life Changer award and was known for his commitment to education, although he faced criticism for not addressing local youth violence issues.
