Dublin City Schools Proposes Redistricting Plan Affecting Almost 1,400 Students

COLUMBUS, Ohio-As Central Ohio experiences growth, Dublin City Schools has proposed a redistricting plan affecting nearly 1,400 students to address overcrowding and accommodate new developments. The plan, set to take effect next school year, was discussed at a public session attended by hundreds of parents. Concerns were raised about the impact on children’s friendships as some students will be reassigned to different schools. Superintendent John Marschhausen emphasized the need to redistribute students to ensure balanced learning environments, particularly as a new school, Bishop Elementary, is being built. The plan will affect students at four elementary and four middle schools, helping bring overcrowded schools below capacity.
