CLEVELAND, Ohio-Ra’Von Wiggins, a former East Cleveland police officer, pleaded guilty to four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and was sentenced to two years of community control by Judge Sherrie Miday. Wiggins, 28, must also register as a Tier 2 sex offender and has permanently surrendered his police certification. The offenses occurred in 2018 but were reported in December 2023. The victim, who was 15 at the time, reported that Wiggins, then 21, had sexual encounters with her in his car and at his mother’s home after she had lost consciousness from drinking. Wiggins was terminated from his volunteer position as an auxiliary officer in March 2024 following the indictment. Prior to his East Cleveland service, Wiggins was briefly employed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol but was terminated for poor performance.
