Father Accused of Causing 2-Month-old’s Skull Fracture Pleads Guilty

DAYTON, Ohio-Fernando Intzem, a 33-year-old father from Dayton, has pleaded guilty to a felony charge of endangering children after causing his 2-month-old child to suffer a skull fracture during a domestic violence incident in April. The assault occurred when Intzem struck the child’s mother multiple times in the face while she was holding the baby, and then pushed her into a wall, causing the infant’s head to hit the wall. The baby’s skull fracture was later discovered by doctors at Dayton Children’s Hospital. Intzem faces up to three years in prison and is set to be sentenced on December 12. He is currently held in jail on a $150,000 bond.
