MIAMI, Ohio-A Miami Trace Local Schools student was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle while disembarking from a school bus on US 62 North between Harrison and Post roads. The incident occurred when a southbound pickup truck failed to stop, colliding with a stationary vehicle that had halted for the school bus.
The impact propelled the stopped vehicle into the driveway, where the student was hit. The student was airlifted to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Trauma Center in Columbus, while two others sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals. Fayette County has not disclosed information regarding charges related to the incident.
