MASON, Ohio-Mason High School is grieving the loss of two students just days before graduation. Seventeen-year-old junior Sam Case died in a head-on crash on I-71 after driving the wrong way up an exit ramp. Despite numerous warning signs, he collided with a tractor-trailer.
In unrelated circumstances, Nourah Alshammari passed away due to complications from a lung transplant. Though she didn’t live to graduate, she was honored with a private commencement ceremony at the hospital, ensuring she knew she had graduated from Mason High School. The community is devastated by the loss of these young lives.
