A former Akron police officer will continue to serve his 24 to 28 year sentence on child pornography charges after his case was examined by the 11th District Court of Appeals. 34 year-old Geoffrey Parker was sentenced in November of 2024 on three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a child, three counts of illegal use of a child in nudity-oriented material, one count of gross sexual imposition and one count of pandering obscenity involving a child.
