CLEVELAND, Ohio-Odin Rathnam, a former Cleveland State University violin instructor and Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, has been accused of sexually abusing a child over an 11-year period. Rathnam, 58, was arrested on July 12 in connection with rape charges from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Though he was employed part-time at Cleveland State until the university learned of the allegations, the university confirmed that the incidents did not occur on campus nor involve CSU students. Rathnam faces 30 criminal charges, including child rape and aggravated indecent assault. He recently appeared in court for an extradition hearing related to these charges.
