CLARK, Ohio-Former NFL running back Cierre Wood was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday for the 2019 death of his girlfriend’s 5-year-old daughter in Las Vegas. Wood, 33, had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and felony child abuse. The life sentence includes the possibility of parole after 10 years for the murder charge. He was also sentenced to 28 months to 6 years for the child abuse charge, to be served consecutively.
