CINCINNATI, Ohio-Altherr initially faced federal charges for distribution and possession of child pornography. He now faces 16 additional counts of sexual exploitation of children. The charges involve the production of child pornography featuring a 5-6 year old victim between May 2023 and June 2024. Altherr allegedly distributed this content on a website dedicated to child pornography, which he had been using since 2021. FBI agents arrested Altherr in Columbus, Ohio, where he was found with a nude young girl in a hotel room. A search of Altherr’s home in Cincinnati revealed images and videos of child sexual abuse, some involving children as young as 3-4 years old. The Oak Hills Local School District has initiated termination proceedings against Altherr. Altherr is currently being held in Butler County jail awaiting trial.
