GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio-Garfield Heights police recovered a two-year-old child from the back of a car involved in a police chase on Saturday afternoon. The car, flagged as a felony vehicle for fleeing from police and endangering pedestrians, led officers on a pursuit through Maple Heights. Police deployed stop sticks to halt the car, which eventually stopped in a construction area. The 17-year-old driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The child was found uninjured and taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver is facing pending charges for felony fleeing, child endangerment, and traffic violations.
