Governor Anounces Details on Child Care Access Grant program

COLUMBUS, Ohio-The governor has revealed further details about the state’s Child Care Access Grant program, aiming to enhance child care availability. The program focuses on three objectives: increasing capacity by establishing new or expanding existing programs, completing building repairs, and providing additional training to support children with special needs.

Various grants are offered, including those for new center start-up, program expansion, program repairs, family child care type B to Type A, and increasing capacity for children with special needs. The application deadline is April 26, and recipients will be notified in early May. Governor DeWine highlighted the importance of quality child care in preparing children for school and fostering their overall development.
