Governor DeWine Announces Nearly $2.5 Million for Teen Driver Training Scholarships

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced nearly $2.5 million in grants to expand access to teen driver training for low-income families. Thirty-five local school districts and government agencies will receive funding from the Drive to Succeed Scholarship Program, providing driver training scholarships to about 5,500 Ohio students in 43 counties.

This initiative, launched in 2022, aims to support teenage drivers whose families can’t afford driving school costs, promoting safer roads for all. The program, administered by the Ohio Traffic Safety Office, is in its second round of funding.
