COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the launch of the Family Connects program, aimed at providing universal nurse home visits to new families in 11 counties. These visits, beginning this summer, will offer support, address concerns, and connect families with necessary clinical or community services.
The program, serving approximately 4,000 families within a year, has proven success in reducing infant mortality and postpartum depression rates in other areas. Partner organizations in various counties will facilitate these visits, extending support to families in need.
