Groveport Madison school board sues fellow members who crashed committee meeting

The Groveport Madison school board is suing two of its members for attending a June meeting, saying their presence created a violation of Ohio open meeting laws. The board for Groveport Madison Schools is asking a Franklin County Common Pleas Court judge to bar two of its members, John Kershner and Kathleen Walsh, from attending meetings where they are not designated to be present. Walsh has been a member of the board since January 2020, while Kershner joined the board in January 2024. School board races in Ohio are nonpartisan.
