April 4th, 2024-GATES MILLS, Ohio-On March 21, staff at St. Francis of Assisi School in Gates Mills, Ohio, reported that someone had entered their detached learning center trailer overnight. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect entered through a window around midnight and left at 6 a.m., though nothing was stolen. The following day, officers monitoring the school grounds encountered a man approaching the trailer, who admitted to sleeping there the previous night.
The 61-year-old man, lacking a permanent residence after being discharged from a hospital, was cited for criminal trespassing. He was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for a medical condition and was found to have an active felony warrant for forgery with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, who were informed of the incident for potential further action upon his release from the hospital.
