COLUMBUS, Ohio-Temidayo Owoyemi, a track and field athlete from Horizon Science Academy, was voted as the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center High School Athlete of the Week. She achieved personal records in shot put and discus events at the Division II district meet, finishing first in both. Owoyemi received 61.9% of the vote. Mairin O’Brien from Olentangy Orange track and field was the runner-up, recognized for her achievements in various track events and her multiple varsity letters in cross country, basketball, and track.
