CLEVELAND, Ohio-Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips in Cuyahoga Falls has transitioned ownership from Ben Vittoria to developer George Simon, who also owns the last remaining Arthur Treacher’s restaurant in Garfield Heights. Simon is optimistic about expanding the brand in Northeast Ohio, with plans to open additional locations.
He is currently negotiating sites in the Canton area and on the east side of Cleveland, with an announcement expected within 30 to 90 days. Simon believes multiple locations are necessary to generate enough revenue to support brand growth, and he is working with TruFoods, the franchise holder for Arthur Treacher’s in Ohio and beyond, to achieve this expansion. The chain, founded in Columbus in 1969, may see a revival in the region under Simon’s ownership.
