The leaked document outlined strategies regarding opposition to the district’s school closure plan.
The Columbus Education Association criticized the document as racially divisive and called for Simmons’ resignation. Simmons apologized to the district union leadership, acknowledging his role and expressing regret for the unacceptable content. He emphasized the involvement of others but did not provide evidence of collaboration or name collaborators.
