LEWISTOWN, Ohio-The Indian Lake Board of Education has approved a major project to improve school facilities by awarding a $2.9 million contract to Baumer Construction, Inc. for a new Bus Maintenance/Storage facility and Fuel Station. This facility will be located south of the middle school along County Road 91, replacing the current maintenance facility, which is no longer adequate for modern bus sizes. Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood highlighted the significance of this upgrade, stating it will provide secure, undercover storage for buses, protecting them from weather damage. He noted that the decision to proceed with the project followed a thorough financial analysis over the past year, emphasizing that it will help extend the lifespan of the district’s buses and enhance campus security.
