‘It’s going to be Hard for the Longest Time’; Parents Remember son who Died of Apparent Drowning at CLE Beach

CLEVELAND, Ohio-An 11-year-old boy named Anthony Lenix Jr., known as “Ace,” tragically drowned at Euclid Beach during a family outing. He was recovered by divers and pronounced dead at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Ace, a twin and one of five children, was described by his parents as a sports enthusiast and straight-A student excited for school. He drowned while reportedly trying to help another child in distress in the water. His family and bystanders attempted to rescue him but were unsuccessful. His parents remember him as energetic and caring, and his father described him as a hero for his final act.
